Past against Black Caps in India

New Zealand admit they will be up against it when they take on hosts India in six limited-overs cricket internationals - but they want to ignore what history suggests will be another
losing trip to the subcontinent.
"It's important for us to not take too much baggage from history... and get up to the challenge I know we are going to face," skipper Kane Williamson told reporters on Sunday.

New Zealand have never won an ODI series in India.
They squandered a royal chance to change that last year when they lost the fifth one-dayer, capitulating for 79 runs to hand India a 190-run win in Visakhapatnam.
"To be two-all going into that last game a year ago was I thought a very good effort. We played some good cricket. Having said that, I still didn't think we played a complete performance," Williamson said.

India, the top-ranked ODI side in the world, are coming off a limited-overs series against Australia which finished last week.
The fifth-ranked Kiwis have not played since the ICC Champions Trophy in June.
Williamson said two warm-up matches this week in Mumbai would be important.
The team would have to cope with India's ever-present spin threat, as well as be able to adapt to different conditions.
Wickets varied so much within the country, he said.

"I think coming over there, you play on some very, very good surfaces and you play on some that are more challenging, spin a lot more.
"I think in our last series we saw glimpses of a variety of surfaces where at times you've seen series it's been 350 or 380 and at other times you've seen a winning score be 250."

New Zealand will play two 50-over matches against a President's XI at Mumbai's Brabourne Stadium on Tuesday and Thursday before the first ODI at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.
