24 Abia Traditional Rulers Endorse Governor Ikpeazu For Second Term
The current news have it that monarchs from Uturu clan of Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, numbering about 24, under the aegis of Uturu Council of traditional
Rulers, have endorsed Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for a second term in office.
Report have it that the monarchs made their position known when they paid a courtesy call on Governor Ikpeazu at the Government House, Umuahia.
They appreciated the Governor for his love and all that he has been doing for Uturu people including seeing to it that their son became the executive chairman of the Isuikwuato for the first time in decades.
Receiving the monarchs, the Governor Ikpeazu appreciated them for their kind words and promised not to abandon them.

Dr. Ikpeazu said that Isuikwuato Water Board Committee would be set up to ensure that the Uturu water scheme is looked into with a view to revitalising it especially, this yuletide.
The Governor also assured the Isuikwuato people that adequate arrangements have been made to check some erosion sites in the area by the World Bank.
On their request for a power shift from Umunneochi to Isuikwuato in the House of Representatives, he encouraged them to work with their Umunneochi brethren, saying that “the only way you can make bold statement in politics is to align properly” adding that they have a job to do even as he enlisted his suppor for people, who are suffering from inequality as he sees himself as a product of equity.
Also speaking, the Executive Chairman, Isuikwuato Local Government Area, Chief Nnamdi Udeze, said they were in Government House to thank the Governor for all he has been doing for Uturu and Isuikwuato people.
In their speeches earlier, Eze Silas Chukwu and Eze Cletus Ogbonnaya said they are in support of the current zoning of governorship in the State and lent their support for the completion of their second term in office by the Abia South.

They said that Dr. Ikpeazu has been adopted by Uturu people as their sole candidate for 2019 governorship elections.
The monarchs, who appreciated the Governor for appointing their indigenes into positions of authority, and assisting in ensuring that their son, Chief Nnamdi Udeze was elected as Local Government Area Chairman, a position that has eluded the clan for decades.
They requested the Governor to mediate in the zoning of House of Representatives seat which Umunneochi has occupied since 2007 as well as in fixing their ring roads.
