jobs creation and empowerment programmes in the country. According to him, the creation of opportunity for youth to leverage innovation in technology through the introduction of ASO Villa Demo Day (AVDD) will also assist greatly in making Nigerian youths self reliant. He said, “it is worthy of mention the recent release and disbursement of N700 million to young entrepreneurs across the country by the Buhari administration. Musa-Kallah said the idea on Social Investment Programme (SIP) via N-Power volunteers scheme has created jobs for over 200,000 youths stressing that if that is sustained will go along way in reducing Youth unemployment in the country. He said, “The ongoing Government Enterprise and Empowerment (GEEP) scheme which commenced since 2016 had upgraded the business status of over 189,000 market women and traders across the country.” The BSO coordinator, expressed his happiness over the conditional cash transfer (CCT) scheme under which no fewer than 25,000 less privileged Nigerians are now enjoying N5,000 stipends monthly. He said, record had indicated that less privilege persons in Bauchi, Borno, Cross-Rivers, Ekiti, Kwara, Kogi, Niger, Osun and Oyo states are benefitting from the pilot scheme of the CCT. Musa-Kallah said, the revitalization of the made in Nigeria campaign emphasis on consumption of local products is also highly commendable. He added that the opinion in that direction will surely make Nigerians self reliant. “There is no doubt businesses in Katsina are moving forward due to the effort of Gov. Aminu Masari in the empowerment sector adding that over 5,000 women have started smiling to bank from the soft loan disbursed by the state government.
