LIVERPOOL WANT £40M AC MILAN STAR, SUSO

LIVERPOOL WANT £40M AC MILAN STAR, SUSO
Liverpool are poised to make a shock move for former midfielder Suso.
The 24-year-old Spaniard is currently playing for AC Milan and has a £40m release clause.
The Reds are interested in meeting the clause and bringing back the player who appeared 15 times for the club between 2012 and 2015.
Suso has been impressing over in Serie A, where he has notched six goals and five assists this season.
Calciomercato report that Jurgen Klopp made a failed approach for the player back in the January transfer window, but is ready to go back for him this summer.

The unlikely Liverpool transfer secret behind Reds' free-scoring success has been identified

Former Liverpool star Paul Ince thinks he identified the secret to the Reds' incredible attacking displays of late - the January departure of Philippe Coutinho.

The attacking midfielder ended a long-running transfer saga by moving to the Nou Camp for a £142million fee in the first week of the last transfer window.
Instead of using those funds to boost his attacking options, boss Jurgen Klopp opted to rely on his current crop of talent.
Klopp's faith has been rewarded with Mo Salah and his teammates lighting up pitches at home and away since - especially in the Champions League in which Liverpool are the competition's top scorers.
All of which means Liverpool's stunning showings in the attacking third can be tracked back to Coutinho's move to Barcelona, says Ince.
Ince told Paddy Power: “When you look at Liverpool’s recent performances, they’re on another planet to the rest of the league in terms of balance and having the right mix in the team.
The amazing thing is, that’s is all of the back of Philippe Coutinho leaving.
Everyone thought that when he left that it would weaken Liverpool – but it’s actually strengthened them!
That’s because they were probably too reliant on the Brazilian. Everything had to go through him. With him out of the picture, other people have stepped up and not just Mo Salah.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino all have showed they’re not in Coutinho’s shadow.

It’s much more of a team effort now, rather than it being all about one player.
Yes, Salah is the standout man and that’s obvious, but every one of them puts a shift in.”

More Liverpool news

Jurgen Klopp has dismissed speculation that Mohamed Salah could leave Liverpool, declaring: "I am not worried about a transfer."
Salah has been in blistering form for the Reds in his debut season, having already scored 39 goals with another month of the campaign to play.
His latest attacking contribution was to score in Liverpool's second leg win at Manchester City on Tuesday to book a place in the Champions League semi-final for the first time in 10 years.
Salah's incredible performances has prompted transfer links with Real Madrid who are rumoured to be interested in taking the Egyptian to the Bernabeu in the summer.
But Klopp insists Liverpool - and the Anfield faithful - have nothing to worry about.
I know that Mo feels very comfortable here,” Klopp told Sport Bild.
He knows that our style of play suits him very well. So I am not worried about a transfer.”
Klopp also praised Loris Karius, with the goalkeeper having impressed since becoming the manager's first-choice goalkeeper in January.

Maybe it was my fault that I played him shortly after he came back from his hand injury,” Klopp said.
But I was always convinced of his talent. If not, we wouldn’t have bought him.
Loris is a young keeper with great potential and he does a great job.”

Champions League latest

Gianluigi Buffon has remarkably claimed that Premier League referee Michael Oliver has a ‘bag of rubbish for a heart’ after he awarded Real Madrid a last-gasp penalty against Juventus in the Champions League quarter final second leg on Wednesday evening.
With Juve 3-0 up at the Bernabeu on the night, meaning the aggregate score was 3-3, the match was heading to extra time.
But in the last 30 seconds of stoppage time, Oliver pointed to the spot when he deemed defender Medhi Benatia to have fouled Lucas Vazquez in the penalty area.
This sparked furious reactions from the entire Juve squad, not least Buffon who was consequently shown a red card in the aftermath.
Cristiano Ronaldo fired home the penalty, meaning reigning champions Madrid join Liverpool, Roma and Bayern Munich in the semi-finals.
Italian legend Buffon, who made his 650th appearance for Juve last night, spoke to the press afterwards - and was less than complimentary of Oliver.
It was certainly a dubious incident. Not clear-cut,” Buffon said.
It was a tenth of a penalty.

I know the referee saw what he saw, but it was certainly a dubious incident. Not clear-cut. And a dubious incident at the 93rd minute when we had a clear penalty denied in the first leg, you cannot award that at this point.
The team gave its all, but a human being cannot destroy dreams like that at the end of an extraordinary comeback on a dubious situation.
Clearly you cannot have a heart in your chest, but a bag of rubbish. On top of that, if you don’t have the character to walk on a pitch like this in a stadium like this, you can sit in the stands with your wife, your kids, having your drink and eating crisps.
You cannot ruin the dreams of a team. I could’ve told the referee anything at that moment, but he had to understand the degree of the disaster he was creating.
If you can’t handle the pressure and have the courage to make a decision, then you should just sit in the stands and eat your crisps.”
